September 2025 Release Notes

important

  • Your service bureau must be using ReadyPay version 3.72.0.14 to install this update.

  • There are six known issues that will be corrected in a future release. See the "Known Issues" section at the bottom of this article for details.

  • High impact tickets:

    • API Authorization Server requires a manual config file update. See TAPS-605 for details.
    • Employee Direct Deposit settings for secondary accounts have a new requirement. See TAPS-583 for details.
    • ReadyPay Online requires you to verify an entry exists in a config file and update it if necessary. See TAPS-524 for details.

Installation Instructions​

  1. Download the ReadyPayOnline_1.39.1.0.zip from the Releases/ReadyPayOnline folder on the Taslar FTP.

  2. Unzip/Extract the contents of this file to a temporary folder on your web server (wherever RPO is installed).

  3. Back up the contents of your existing web applications folders.

  4. Stop the following services on the appropriate servers: IIS, Integration Service, and Notification Service.

  5. Run the ReadyPayOnline_ 1.39.1.0 .msi on your web server. During the installation, click on each feature to ensure that the "Location:" (installation path) is still correct.

  6. Run the ReadyPayOnline_ 1.39.1.0 _Release.sql file against your RPO database in SSMS on your RPO SQL Server.

  7. Perform any file replacements you may have as part of your maintenance routine (logo files, CSS etc.).

  8. Restart all the services that you stopped in Step 4.

  9. Recycle all Application Pools in IIS (this is necessary if you use any Session State application).

  10. We strongly suggest you test login to your RPO site and Employee Kiosk site after your upgrade is complete to ensure that the pages load appropriately.

TAPS-460Accrual plans added with the New Hire Wizard or Onboarding now add the correct hours balance and probation hours. Previously, the Probation Hours field would be auto-filled with the same number used in the probation days setting.
TAPS-605API Resource Server has a new key that requires the following addition to the appSettings.config file:

TAPS-583Employee direct deposit settings for secondary accounts have been updated for Workhub. This change affects RPO, Kiosk, and Onboarding.
  • All secondary accounts must use the same Amount Code option (i.e., Flat or %).
  • The “Flat-” (i.e., Flat minus) amount code has been removed.
Note: This change only affects new or changed secondary accounts. Secondary accounts are accounts with a Priority value less than 99.
TAPS-199Kiosk will display additional help information when changing a user’s role from Admin to EmployeeRole.
TAPS-489Performance Management now allows Supervisors to print-preview an appraisal that they have partially completed. A “Print Preview Doc” button appears below the workflow progress list any time after the Welcome step has been completed and before the appraisal has been submitted.
TAPS-491Performance Management’s “Print All” button has been removed from the Appraisals Dashboard because it was redundant.
TAPS-387Performance Management’s Dashboard now includes a magnifying glass icon between the employee id and name. Click it to view the appraisal of the employee.
TAPS-261Retro Pay Calculator pages have been improved.
  • Column alignment has been fixed.
  • Duplicate entries have been removed.
  • Retro checks will be shown when the check type is “Retro” or when an earning code with the earning type “Retro” is used on the check.
TAPS-539Timecard Dashboard (in Kiosk > Management) will now display the attestation icon to the right of any employee’s timecard that contains an attestation note.
TAPS-589User Administration page for Kiosk has been fixed. An issue was introduced in ReadyPay Online version 1.38.1.2, resulting in the list of employees not setup only displaying one record.
TAPS-228Webclock timecards can now be reopened by an Admin user who is also a supervisor.
TAPS-439Webclock’s Geolocation logging has been fixed. An issue in a prior release caused employees to see an error when clocking in, and location data was missing.
TAPS-524Webclock’s Timecard Dashboard has been fixed. Previously, editing a timecard for employees covered by a missed meal rule might display a “DataReader.GetFieldType(1) returned null” error.

Note: This change requires you to verify that the web.config file for ReadyPay Online contains the following entry in the <assemblyBinding> section. Only edit the config file if it does not contain the entry shown below.

TAPS-351Webclock’s Timecard page will now allow you to select the next year when the check date’s pay period begins in one year and ends in another.

Known Issues​

TAPS-687Accrual setup page may incorrectly mark some fields as read-only when you first navigate to or refresh the page. Selecting a different accrual plan makes the same fields editable.
TAPS-692Payroll Entry page will display a warning twice when there is a Third Party Sick Pay check with a variance in SS and MED taxes.
TAPS-696Prior Adjustments subtab on the Retro Pay Calculator page is loading an incomplete list of an employee's prior adjustments.
TAPS-697Net to Gross Batch Entry page displays an inaccurate error the first time an end client uses the feature. The message should inform the user that they must configure their settings before using Net to Gross Batch entry.
TAPS-698Affiliated Companies page displays an error when you add the first company to the list.
TAPS-699Demographics page displays an inaccurate error after checking the "Primary Industry" checkbox and clicking the Save button.
