January 2025 Release Notes

High Impact tickets in this release:

  • Kiosk branding has been updated. This change requires additional pre-installation work. See the Installation Instructions below. See Dev. Ticket RPO-3007 and RPO-3061 for details about where the new branding is visible.

Installation Instructions​

  1. Download the ReadyPayOnline_1.36.2.0.zip from the Releases/ReadyPayOnline folder on the Taslar FTP.

  2. Unzip/Extract the contents of this file to a temporary folder on your web server (wherever RPO is installed).

  3. Verify that your service bureau's logo is configured correctly.

    a. In RPO, go to System > Application Settings.

    b. Set the Application drop list to the blank value, enter ESSLogoImage in the Search field, and click the "Refresh" button.

    c. Click the setting from the list and verify the Value field points to a valid image file (e.g., ~/image/My_SB_logo.png). If RPO does not have this application setting, contact Support before you upgrade RPO.

    d. Verify that the file listed in the Value field exists in the appropriate folder on your web server. The default folder for the Kiosk image file is C:\WebApplications\Employee\image .

  4. Back up the contents of your existing web applications folders.

  5. Stop the following services on the appropriate servers: IIS, Integration Service, and Notification Service

  6. Run the ReadyPayOnline_1.36.2.0.msi on your web server. During the installation, click on each feature to ensure that the "Location:" (installation path) is still correct.

  7. Run the ReadyPayOnline_1.36-Release.sql file against your RPO database in SSMS on your RPO SQL Server.

  8. Run the RPOServices_1.36.2.0.msi on your web server or wherever the integration and notification services are installed.

  9. Perform any file replacements you may have as part of your maintenance routine (logo files, CSS etc.).

  10. Restart all the services that you stopped in Step 5.

  11. Recycle all Application Pools in IIS (this is necessary if you use any Session State application).

  12. We strongly suggest you test login to your RPO site and Employee Kiosk site after your upgrade is complete to ensure that the pages load appropriately.

RPO-3007W2 instructions have been updated. The PDF now displays the service bureau's logo on the top left of the PDF, and the "Powered by Earnin" logo on the top right.
