How to Enable Onboarding in Work Hub
Step-by-step guide for payroll service bureaus.
This article provides instructions for payroll service bureaus on how to enable Work Hub Onboarding for an end client.
In order to proceed, the end client must already be configured to use the legacy ReadyPay Online's (RPO's) Onboarding module. If the end client has not yet been set up for RPO Onboarding, complete that setup first using the Onboarding — Service Bureau setup guide before proceeding.
Pre-Setup Planning
Complete the following steps before making any changes to the end client's configuration. All three steps must be confirmed before proceeding to Company Setup.
Electronic Forms are not supported in Work Hub Onboarding. You must remove any Electronic Forms from the end client's Onboarding Customizations list before switching to Work Hub Onboarding. Failure to do so will prevent the switch from completing successfully.
1. Confirm that the end client has been configured with the EEKiosk service
- If not, go to Company | Master Company Setup | Status & Services on RPO, add the EEKiosk service, and set the Service Level to Full.
2. Confirm that the end client has been migrated from the legacy Kiosk app to Work Hub
- If not, complete the migration before proceeding. See the Migration Setup — myReadyPay to EarnIn Work Hub article for instructions. Note that the migration article has its own prerequisites that must be completed first.
3. Review the end client's existing RPO Onboarding configuration
- Verify that the end client has already been set up to use RPO Onboarding. If they have not, complete the end client setup in the RPO Onboarding — Service Bureau Setup Guide before proceeding.
- Check Onboarding > Customizations for any Electronic Forms and remove them before proceeding. Electronic Forms are not yet supported in Work Hub Onboarding.
- Check the Onboarding Dashboard for any Pending (i.e. incomplete) new hire packets.
Switching to Work Hub Onboarding while legacy RPO onboarding packets are still in process will result in some new hires completing their packet in the legacy workflow while new hires added after the switch use the Work Hub workflow. This can cause confusion for the end client and the service bureau. It is strongly recommended that all pending new hire packets be completed before making the switch.
Your existing Onboarding Setup Groups, Customizations, and Instructions are not affected by this change, with the exception of Electronic Forms as noted above.
Company Setup: Onboarding Service
1. Add the Onboarding service with the EarnIn service level
- Go to Company | Master Company Setup | Status & Services on RPO.
- If the company already has the Onboarding service with the service level myReadyPay, end date this entry.
- Add the Onboarding service with the service level of EarnIn.
2. Work Hub Onboarding is now active
Once the EarnIn service level is saved, Work Hub Onboarding is immediately active for the end client. All new hires initiated from this point forward will automatically go through the Work Hub Onboarding workflow. No further configuration is required.
If you need to reverse this change, contact support for assistance. Do not attempt to reverse the change without guidance, as doing so while new hire packets are in process may result in those new hires being unable to complete their packet.
