Important:

  1. Some ReadyPay updates may include extra steps. Any additional steps will be documented in the Release Notes for the affected version.
  2. If your service bureau is updating ReadyPay and ReadyPay Online during the same maintenance window, the ReadyPay update must be done first.
  3. Please notify Support at least 1 business day before you plan to install any ReadyPay update.

Step 1: Update your service bureau's ReadyPay environment

  1. Deactivate your RPO sync schedule.
  2. Stop the following services on all servers at your service bureau:
    • Ready Pay Process Server
    • ReadyPay .Net Process Server
    • ReadyPay Document Transfer
    • Millennium Synchronization Server
  3. If the update includes a ReadyPay Services update, follow these steps. Otherwise, skip to Step 4.
    • Back up existing config files for the ReadyPay .Net Process Server and ReadyPay Document Transfer Service.
    • Make note of the current login credentials used on the services mentioned in step 1. After the installation is complete, you should verify the logins are still intact.
    • Install the ReadyPay Services msi installer on all servers running .NET Process Server and ReadyPay Document Transfer Service.
  4. Run the ReadyPay exe installer on all ReadyPay classic process servers, Synchronization server, and all end user workstations in your service bureau environment.
  5. Run ReadyPay as an Administrator against your database(s) to initiate the database upgrade process (it only needs to be completed once per database and can be run on any machine).
  6. Start the Ready Pay Process Server service on one classic process server.
  7. SyncUp to get tax and database updates.
  8. Stop the Ready Pay Process Server service on the one classic process server you started in step 6.
  9. Restart all services that were stopped in step 2.

Step 2: Update your ReadyPay Online environment

  1. Stop the following services on all servers on the RPO side:
    • Ready Pay Process Server
    • ReadyPay .Net Process Server
    • IIS
  2. If the update includes a ReadyPay Services update, follow these steps. Otherwise, skip to Step 3.
    • Back up existing config files for the ReadyPay .Net Process Server.
    • Make note of the current login credentials used on the services mentioned in step 1. After the installation is complete, you should verify the logins are still intact.
    • Install the ReadyPay Services msi installer on all servers running .NET Process Server.
    • DO NOT install the ReadyPay Document Transfer Service on RPO.
  3. Run the ReadyPay exe installer on all your classic process servers and your web server.
  4. Run ReadyPay as an Administrator against your database(s) to initiate the database upgrade process (it only needs to be completed once per database and can be run on any machine).
  5. Start the Ready Pay Process Server service on one classic process server.
  6. SyncUp to your Service Bureau to get tax and database updates.
  7. Stop the Ready Pay Process Server service on the one classic process server you started in step 5.
  8. Check the PDFInstall.log file on your web server and all process servers to verify that the Millennium PDF printer was successfully installed. The default folder is C:\Program Files (x86)\Millennium 3. If the log file does not contain a "Printer setup succeeded" message, run the InstallMillenniumPDF.bat file to install it.
  9. Restart all services that were stopped in step 1.
  10. Reactivate your RPO sync schedule.
