Master Company Setup: Company Sets

A Company Set is a collection of clients. Company Sets can be used to identify clients with a certain status (Active, Term, etc). Company Sets can also be used to identify clients using a certain service offered by the service bureau (ACA, Full Tax Service, etc).
All company codes belong to a Company Set called "All". They are automatically added to the "All" Company Set.
A company cannot be removed from the "All" Company Set. Attempting to delete a company returns this message.
A company can be included in as many Company Sets as needed.
A new Company Set cannot be added from the Master Company Setup > Company Sets Tab.
Existing Company Sets cannot be deleted from the Master Company Setup > Company Sets Tab.
Addition of new or deletion of existing Company Sets is done in System > Setup > Company Sets tab.

Adding a Company to a Company Set
Click the New(*) Button.
A Dialogue Box called "Choose the appropriate set" will be displayed.
Use the Drop List to see a list of all existing Company Sets.
Select the appropriate code from the Drop List. Click OK.

The Relationship field is completed by the system based on the company set being added.
The Relationship is either Direct or the Parent of another Company Set. (see Creating New Company Sets for more information)
Repeat the process as needed to add the client to other Company Sets.
A company cannot be added to a Company Set to which it is already assigned.
Removing a Company from a Company Set
To remove a company from a particular Company Set, highlight the Company Set in the list of Company Sets for the company. Click the Delete (X) button.
Companies can be added to or removed from Company Sets using the Member Companies Sub Tab
found in System > Setup > Company Sets. See Member Companies Sub Tab section below for instructions.
Note: The New Version (Calendar picture) is not available on this tab.
